Eco Friendly Countertops

Eco friendly countertops are part of a broader green strategy an individual chooses to pursue. Eco friendly countertops are an opportunity for an individual to save the earth’s precious resources and divert materials that would otherwise be designated for landfills.

There are three main types of environmentally friendly countertops: 1) countertops made from recycled materials such as glass mixed with concrete composites or recycled aluminum; 2) paper and resin composites; and 3) sustainable woods and grasses such as bamboo harvested from responsibly managed forests.

Another important eco friendly aspect is avoiding varnishes and sealants containing volatile organic compounds (VOC) and adhesives that are formaldehyde free.
